Usually when someone buys a ScanSnap for the Mac, the purchaser feels compelled to post on the list-serve about how great it is. It is nice that our love for Fujitsu is one thing we can agree on. Scan Snap is great.  Frankly, there is not a lot to say about the hardware. You plug it in, spend about 60 seconds in “preferences” and you are well on your way to the paperless office.   Please allow me to cast the first stone. There is no TWAIN for Adobe to run Scan Snap. Without going into detail, this means you have to use Scan Snaps software to scan. As such, there is the extra step of having to go back and add OCR, in Adobe, after the image is scanned. More of an irritant than a full fledged short-coming. Still, it had to be said.  Scan Snap was still worth the purchase price (and it is not cheap). It is quick, easy to use, and continues to help us maintain a less-paper office. It has a small footprint and requires very little set-up.
