Yeah, the problem with Vista is one of “perception” and marketing. So those two weeks of work I basically missed when my Lenovo laptop had to go back to the manufacturer for Vista-related issues were just in my head.
What was funny was that I connected my pc to an ethernet cable to download an update for Vista that wouldn’t load via wireless. That’s when the 2nd problem started. When I called the repair tech (who told me it would be $200 to repair it, if he could fix it) he said “oh, yeah, Vista has problems when you switch from wireless to wired.”
When I told the tech I was tempted to switch to Mac, he was strongly against it, which made me want to investigate the switch a little more.
Then, the salesperson at Office Depot told me I should get a Mac.
I did and it was likely the smartest decision I’ve made thus far in starting my own practice.
I don’t want to jinx myself but (thus far!) it just works, very smoothly.
