Posted by: admin on October 20th, 2008Carnell, of Mac Law Students has done a quick tutorial that will get you started with one of the most interesting programs for a mac, Quicksilver. I have downloaded QS before and never found time to tinker but this video inspired me. Check it out here.

The Brick Revealed
Posted by: admin on October 15th, 2008Turns out it was the process. Go figure. You can see the video here. Apple also refreshed the laptop lineup providing more power under the hood. There is a new look to the Macbook bringing it in line with the rest of the products (everything looks like the iPhone). Also an update to the monitors. The whole product lineup is looking sharp.
Peanut Gallery
Posted by: admin on October 15th, 2008Listen, I know many of you come to this blog to read about Mac/Apple products. And I appreciate your constructive input for the blog. We visit these cloud computing solutions because these products could be better than anything that is currently being offered on the Apple platform. For example, I see no reason to review Adobe’s Buzzword, because we already have really solid solutions for word processing (sorry Adobe, I still love Acrobat). But products like Clio, Rocket Matter, Evernote and the other recent releases in SaaS seem very relevant to Mac users because we are all looking for the perfect Case/Office Management System. As we continue this quest, I will keep my eyes on both horizons.

Another Story of Switching
Posted by: admin on October 9th, 2008The well known David J Bilinsky, of Thoughtful Legal Management, is documenting his travels of switching to Apple. Check out his first two posts on the subject here and here. His day three frustrations mirror my own. Good luck David. And welcome to the fold.
What is the Brick?
Posted by: admin on October 6th, 2008I guess we will here soon. For the last two weeks every website that follows mac rumors is talking about the brick. The speculation ranges from iTV updates, Macbook updates, Apple hubs to Macbook structural principles. Apple has always been good about keeping a lid on things. We will hear soon enough.
Coming Soon to Rocket Matter (SaaS for the Mac)
Posted by: admin on October 6th, 2008I reviewed Rocket Matter a few months back and was impressed with their SaaS. I received an inside tip tonight that Rocket Matter is rolling out interesting upgrades. I look forward to seeing the implementation of these upcoming features. If it looks as good as it sounds, it should be a welcomed (albeit unique) addition. Keep an eye on their blog in the next 24 hours for an update. ![]()
